Weight Loss Tracker & Photos

Privacy policy

Last updated: September 7, 2026

Weight Loss Tracker & Photos (the “App”, displayed as “Weight Loss” on your iPhone) is published by Antoine Gaia under the AppsHeroes name. This policy explains how information is handled in the App and when you contact us for support.

Your journal stays in local app storage

The App works without an account. It stores the information you enter or create on your device: age, height, sex at birth, unit preferences, goals, journey dates, progress photos and thumbnails, weight entries, habit check-ins, mood check-ins, self-care reflections, and settings. It uses that information to display your personal journal, progress charts, photo history, reminders, and recaps.

The App does not upload this journal to an AppsHeroes server. It contains no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking. We do not sell your journal data or use it for advertising, profiling by advertisers, or AI model training. Photos are not analyzed to estimate body fat or diagnose a health condition. The onboarding screen uses your goal and timeline to illustrate a weight journey; these calculations happen locally.

Optional Apple Health access

If you choose to connect Apple Health, the App requests permission to read body-mass measurements (weight). Imported values, measurement dates, and sample identifiers are stored locally to show your weight history and manage imported readings. The App does not request other Health data and does not write to Apple Health.

You can turn off import in Profile → Apple Health and revoke read access in the Health app. Turning off import stops future imports; it does not by itself erase previously imported entries. Use Profile → Delete all my data to clear the local journal. Original measurements in Apple Health remain under your control there.

Camera, Photos, and notifications

  • Camera: used when you take a progress photo. Captures are saved in the App’s private directory, not automatically in your Photos library.
  • Photos: add-only permission is requested when you choose to save a recap video. The App does not need to read your Photos library for that export.
  • Notifications: optional reminders are scheduled locally. The App does not register a remote push-notification token.

You can change these permissions in your device settings. Declining an optional permission limits the related feature.

Exports, sharing, and backups

Recap videos are created on your device. If you choose Save video or Share, the export may contain your photos, dates, and manually entered or imported weight values. Review it before choosing a destination. Exported files are then handled by Photos, the recipient, or the service you select, under their own settings and policies.

Device and computer backup settings may apply to local app files. The App does not provide an AppsHeroes cloud-sync or recovery service. Copies in device backups, Photos, or other services are separate from the local journal; changing or deleting the journal does not erase those copies.

Retention and deletion

Your journal remains in local storage until you remove it. Profile → Delete all my data clears your local profile, active and archived journeys, photos, weight entries, habits, self-care entries, and app reminders, and turns off Health import. This action cannot be undone in the App. It does not delete Apple Health source measurements, exported videos, or backups. Manage those separately using the relevant Apple or third-party controls.

Support and this website

If you email contact@appsheroes.app, we receive your email address, message, and any details you choose to include. We use this information to respond to your request and resolve the issue, based on our legitimate interest in providing support. Please do not send body photos or health records. We retain support correspondence only as long as needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal obligations. Our email provider processes correspondence to deliver this service.

Opening our support or legal pages in your browser is separate from the App’s local journal. This website is hosted by Vercel and uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights for website usage and performance. Hosting and website services may process technical request information, such as IP address, browser details, page visits, and performance measurements. No journal information is included in these links. See Vercel’s privacy policy for its practices. Email and hosting providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States, under their applicable data-protection arrangements.

Your choices and rights

You control the local journal from the App and permission settings on your device. AppsHeroes cannot access or retrieve that journal remotely. For personal information you send to support, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing where these rights apply. Contact us at the address below. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority, including the CNIL in France.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children through support. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address the request.

Changes and contact

We will publish changes to this policy on this page and update its date. For privacy questions or support-data requests, contact Antoine Gaia / AppsHeroes at contact@appsheroes.app.
