Privacy policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
This policy describes the Her Daily Verse mobile application, also branded as “herVerse” (the “App”). Antoine Gaia, operating under the AppsHeroes name, is responsible for the personal data processed for the App. Contact: contact@appsheroes.app.
1. Information stored on your device
The App stores favorites, appearance settings, daily activity and streaks, reminder preferences, and onboarding answers locally. Onboarding answers may include a first name, age range, life season, and faith-related preferences you choose to enter. Personal writing, where available, is also stored locally. The App does not require an AppsHeroes account or provide account-based synchronization of this content.
The App does not send the text of personal writing or the values of your onboarding answers to our analytics service. It can send events indicating which onboarding step you completed or skipped, and writing activity statistics such as entry length, without the text. Device backups may contain local app data depending on your system settings.
2. Purchases and subscriptions
Apple processes App Store payments. We use RevenueCat to check subscription access, restore purchases, and manage purchase records. RevenueCat processes an app-generated customer identifier, purchase receipts and transaction details, subscription status, and technical information such as app and device versions. We do not receive your payment card details.
The RevenueCat customer identifier is also used in analytics to associate app activity with subscription events. It is a pseudonymous identifier, not a guarantee of anonymity. See RevenueCat’s privacy information and Apple’s App Store privacy information.
3. App usage analytics
We use Amplitude to understand how the App is used and improve it. Events can include screens and onboarding steps visited, favorites and sharing actions, content identifiers and categories, theme interactions, reminder settings, and purchase or restore attempts and their results. Technical data can include app version, operating system, device identifiers, timestamps, and IP address or approximate region derived from it.
Content categories and interactions with faith-based content may reveal personal interests or information related to religious beliefs. They should not be treated as anonymous or as a definitive statement of your beliefs. See Amplitude’s security and privacy information.
4. Install and subscription attribution
We use Tenjin to measure app installs, sessions, trials, subscriptions, and the effectiveness of campaigns promoting the App. Data can include device and vendor identifiers, IP address, app and operating system versions, locale, install attribution, subscription product, price, currency, and transaction or receipt information.
On iOS, access to the advertising identifier (IDFA) depends on Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission. You can refuse or withdraw that permission in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Refusing tracking does not disable all app analytics or subscription processing. Tenjin can measure installs and conversions without IDFA, including through Apple’s SKAdNetwork. See Tenjin’s privacy policy and Apple’s tracking controls.
5. Notifications, sharing, and support
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device after notification permission is granted. You can disable them in the App or in iOS Settings → Notifications. A reminder may display faith-related content on your lock screen; you can also control notification previews in iOS.
If you share content, the destination you choose receives the exported content and applies its own privacy rules. If you contact support, we receive your email address, your message, and any information or attachments you provide. Please avoid including sensitive personal information unless needed to resolve your request.
6. Purposes and legal bases
We process information to provide requested features, verify and restore subscriptions, answer support requests, understand app use, and measure acquisition campaigns. Under applicable data protection law, providing requested services and purchases can rely on performance of a contract; support and service maintenance can rely on legitimate interests; legally required records rely on legal obligations. Processing that requires consent, including applicable tracking or sensitive-data processing, requires that consent. This policy itself does not grant consent or replace a required permission request.
7. Recipients and international processing
The providers described above receive the information needed for their respective functions. Attribution information may also be processed by campaign partners through Tenjin. Information may be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights. We do not sell your personal writing or onboarding answers.
Service providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data protection law requires safeguards for international transfers, appropriate safeguards must apply, such as applicable standard contractual clauses. Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your data.
8. Retention, security, and deletion
Local records remain until removed or app data is deleted. Deleting the App can remove local records, but does not cancel a subscription, erase exported copies or device backups, or automatically delete data already processed by providers. Offloading the App may preserve local records.
Subscription records are retained as needed to provide and restore access, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Support and analytics data are retained for their stated purposes and applicable provider retention settings. You can ask us for the retention information applicable to your data or request deletion. Some records may need to be retained for legal reasons.
We use reasonable safeguards for data we handle. No storage system or network transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your device and any backups or shared copies.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of your personal data, object to processing, and withdraw consent. For requests, including an objection to analytics processing, email contact@appsheroes.app. We may need limited information to verify your request and locate pseudonymous records; do not send passwords or payment card details.
You can manage notification and tracking permissions in device settings and remove local records by deleting app data. These controls do not automatically erase provider records. You may complain to your local data protection authority; in France, this is the CNIL.
10. Children and updates
The App is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact us so we can investigate and address it. We may update this policy as the App changes; the date above identifies the latest revision, and additional notice will be provided where required.
