1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using HolyWord ("the Application"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Agreement"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please discontinue use of the Application immediately.

2. Purpose and Service Description

HolyWord is a mobile application that provides users with daily Bible verses, inspirational scripture passages, and related devotional content.

Certain features may include:

  • Daily verse notifications
  • Thematic verse collections
  • Favorites and personal notes
  • Optional premium features

HolyWord is intended for informational and inspirational purposes only.

3. License Grant

The Publisher, Antoine Gaia, grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use HolyWord for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with this Agreement and all applicable laws.

4. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights related to HolyWord, including but not limited to:

  • Application design
  • Logo and branding
  • Interface elements
  • Source code
  • Custom devotional content

are the exclusive property of Antoine Gaia unless otherwise stated.

Biblical texts remain the property of their respective publishers or are used in accordance with public domain or applicable licenses. Unauthorized reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use of any part of the Application is strictly prohibited.

5. Authorized Use

You agree to use HolyWord only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Distribute or resell the Application
  • Use the Application in a way that infringes intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to disrupt or interfere with the Application's functionality

6. Premium Features and Subscription

HolyWord may offer optional premium features accessible via subscription.

Subscription details — including pricing, billing cycle, automatic renewal, and cancellation terms — are clearly displayed within the App Store subscription interface at the time of purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Subscription management and cancellation are handled through your Apple App Store account settings.

7. Data Collection and Privacy

HolyWord collects only the data necessary to operate core features of the Application.

Depending on features enabled, this may include:

  • Local storage of favorites and notes
  • Notification preferences
  • Anonymous usage analytics (if applicable)

HolyWord does not sell personal data to third parties.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Application is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

Antoine Gaia does not guarantee that:

  • The Application will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • The content will always be accurate or complete
  • The Application will meet all user expectations

Use of the Application is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Antoine Gaia shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of HolyWord.

Total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid by the user for the Application subscription during the previous 12 months.

10. Modifications to the Agreement

The Publisher reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time.

Changes will become effective upon publication within the Application or through appropriate notification. Continued use of HolyWord after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by French law.

Any dispute arising from the use of HolyWord shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts in the region where Antoine Gaia is domiciled.
